Christmas Lighting

Funny story… it snows a lot where we live. You may have noticed. So last year after Christmas was long over, there were feet and feet of snow on the roof. I wasn’t exactly letting Will climb up there, even to take Christmas lights down.

Now, the snow melted, but we pretty well forgot about the lights. We got married in June, so there was all the wedding planning and honeymoon trips, plus we spent a good amount of time arranging to move to Sacramento because we weren’t sure if Will’s job was going to be around this school year. Let’s just say, the lights stayed up.

Over Labor Day weekend, my sister, Megan and my friend Melanie we're having some fun at our expense for leaving the lights up.

Well, last week Meg and Mel were posting on Facebook about putting up Christmas decorations, to which I said “when everyone else is putting up their lights for the year, we'll see who's laughin!!! All I have to do is the inside stuff.” Haha, so so true. So after about 2 minutes yesterday of putting the lights back around our door and fixing a couple little spots, we were done. Take that people!

Oh, and they look pretty.

We went with blue and white outside. I haven’t put up our wreath or window decorations yet. It’s very pretty though.

Our little tree, which we’ll drag inside tonight, put in a formal stand and cover in ornaments. We went with a tabletop tree since it’s our first Christmas with our beast dog and her tail.

Just for fun, he’s me in all my brilliant-ness standing in the snow in Keds taking pictures. My feet were cold.
